Touched by Breast Cancer Golf Classic
By keeping our donations local, we were able to give
St. Luke's Breast Center and the Duluth Clinic Breast
Center $25,000 last year alone. Over the last five
years, the golf tournament has raised over $100,000 for
breast cancer patients. The tournament is held on
the fourth Friday of June each year at Nemadji Golf

A Black and White Affair "Party for a Purpose"
A "Party With A Purpose" benefiting Fairlawn Mansion
and Museum. We have turned this into an annual event. Guests
can sample gourmet hors
d'oeuvres, services from Trends, and listen to great music
at Aces on 29th. The 3rd Annual Black and White
Affair will be held on November 18, 2010. Call or stop

Locks of Love
A not-for profit organization
that provides the highest quality hair prosthetics for
financially disadvantaged children with medical hair
loss. Most recipients have lost their hair due to an
auto-immune condition known as alopecia areata, which
has no known cause or cure. Others have suffered severe
burns, radiation treatment, or any number of
dermatological conditions resulting in long term or
permanent hair loss.

Business After 5
Every other month, the Douglas County Chamber of
Commerce puts on Business After 5 for the chamber
members. In April, the Blaine Business Center
hosted this event in order to heighten public awareness
and promote the building. Trends Salon & Spa
invited members to take a tour of the salon & spa, gave
away coupons and donated prizes. The event was a
huge success and everyone had a great time.
